Lithuanian Kugela Recipe

Welcome to Angela's Kitchen! Here, you will learn how to make the Lithuanian Kugela recipe, the national dish of Lithuania!
First, the ingredients needed are:
1 pound of diced bacon
1 large onion
5 pounds of Russett potatoes
1/2 cup of flour
1 (12 ounce) can of evaporated milk
6 eggs
Salt and pepper.
To start, Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
Next, lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan
Then, over medium fire, begin to fry bacon pieces until crisp. 
After, remove bacon and move to paper towels
Reserve half of the bacon drippings!
Return the pan to the stove, and begin stirring the onions. Cook until soft and translucent. 

Use a large bowl and stir together the reserved drippings, bacon, onion and potatoes.
Next, mix in the flour, evaporated milk, and eggs



You can also use salt and pepper for seasoning. 
Pour into the baking dish
Keep in oven until top is brown (about one hour)
Cut into squares, and presto! You're finished!
You can also serve with sour cream!
